About The Founder
Dean Stanzel
Dean was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and has been married for almost 30 years and has three children.
Dean attended the University of Saskatchewan, earning a Bachelor of Engineering Physics degree. He was also a member of the university track team.
Dean started his first incorporated business in the financial services sector in 2003 after being a top sales producer for a few companies. After a decade, he took time off to be a stay-at-home dad. A few years later, he launched Top Of Mind Gifts, a B2B strategic gifting company that grew into an international supplier despite the Covid pandemic. Dean continues to own and operate this business. In 2024, he discovered the custom 3D card business and became the exclusive Canadian distributor. This led to a partnership with Sher Perras, and the creation of Strategic 3D Cards!
Dean is a pickleball enthusiast and enjoys playing soccer. He became involved in soccer when his oldest daughter started playing. Despite never having played before, he coached her team and learned the game alongside his children, who all played soccer at competitive levels. Dean has volunteered on several not-for-profit boards and is an avid networker, which is how he was introduced to the 3D pop-up card business.
