Dean was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where he continues to reside with his wife, Alisa. They've been married for almost 30 years and have three children: Erika, Alana, and Benjamin. He's also the proud grand-puppy parent to Jupiter.

Dean attended the University of Saskatchewan, earning a Bachelor of Engineering Physics degree. He was also a member of the university track team. 

Dean started his first incorporated business in the financial services sector in 2003 after being a top sales producer for a few companies. After a decade, he took time off to be a stay-at-home dad. A few years later, he launched Top Of Mind Gifts, a B2B strategic gifting company that grew into an international supplier despite the Covid pandemic. Dean continues to own and operate this business. In 2024, he discovered the custom 3D card business and became the exclusive Canadian distributor. This led to a partnership with Sher Perras, and the creation of Strategic 3D Cards!

Dean is a pickleball enthusiast and enjoys playing soccer. He became involved in soccer when his oldest daughter started playing. Despite never having played before, he coached her team and learned the game alongside his children, who all played soccer at competitive levels. Dean has volunteered on several not-for-profit boards and is an avid networker, which is how he was introduced to the 3D pop-up card business.

Sher Perras is the Founder and CEO of Island Pond Marketing Group (IPMG) and Co-Founder of Strategic 3D Cards, where she demonstrates visionary leadership and an unwavering commitment to marketing excellence. Her strategic acumen and data-driven approach have led to groundbreaking campaigns across various sectors, including direct-to-consumer (DTC), customer experience (CX), account-based marketing (ABM), brand building, and business development.

Sher's core strength lies in orchestrating cross-functional teams and aligning their efforts with overarching business goals. She fosters an environment of collaboration and innovation, leveraging the collective strengths of her teams to deliver exceptional results. 

Sher has demonstrated her committed to staying at the forefront of industry trends, by holding the prestigious Certified ANA Marketing Professional (CAMP) certification, which she achieved in February 2022- present day. She also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Business from MIT Sloan and Columbia Business Schools in 2022. 

Sher's dynamic approach to marketing has garnered attention in the industry. She was featured on the Future Fox Podcast in November 2024, where she shared insights on driving innovative, results-focused campaigns. 

Sher grew up on a ranch outside Carlsbad, NM and now enjoys cooking, gardening, and sharing her life with her family and dogs.
